Kagamine Rin and Len were the second set of vocals for Crypton's Character Vocal Series. They supposed age is 14 and codename is CV02. They were first released in December 27, 2007. These two were voiced by Shimoda Asami but different ways to suit each one. According to Asami, she used her chest voice for Len and her head voice for rin to achieve a higher pitch for rin and a lower pitch for Len. Rin and Len were originally going to be known as twins but later the creator changed his mind and decided that they weren't siblings or lovers but instead two bodies in one soul. Many people tend to still use their own interpretations of these two Vocaloids and Crypton actually stated he approved the variety of interpretations of them and enojoyed it. Rin was ment to have a deeper tone than Miku as a teenager and to have a powerful vocal. Len's voice is also similar to Rin's as a powerful vocal with a little bit of tension as well to replicate a teen boy.
