Megurine Luka was released in January 2009 and was the third release from the same company as Miku, Crypton's Character Vocal Series. Her supposed age is 20 and code name is CVO3 (Character Voice 03)
Luka's voice is provided by Asakawa Yuu a Japanese voice actor. She was originally going to be call Miku instead but was changed and had a concept for a bilingual Vocaloid.
Luka was intended to sound more moody with a soft undertone and protrayed as a more experienced singer. Luka is the 3rd most popular Vocaloid from Crypton and
was the first to hinder Miku's popularity. Her place in 3rd changes from time to time because of Kagamine Rin's popularity and goes back and forth a couple of times.
